MISSION PROJECT 2023

Each year as a Convention we also financially support a missionary project. Thank you for your generosity towards our supported project during last year’s Convention which was AsiaLink’s ‘Tell with a Well’ project, to which we were able to send £5,545. This year our supported project is “More than an English Class” by Hamsayeh International. We welcome all the exhibitors in our missionary exhibition and thank them for contributing to the ministry of Keswick at Portstewart. Clare Arian writes..

“I remember the day well. It was the 26th September 2018 and we had just started our English classes outreach in the Persian area of West Ealing. God had been nudging us in this direction for some time but now I was filled with doubt as to whether anyone would turn up. Instantly God reminded me of his word to me that morning, “Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

And with that they started to come, one by one, with their stories and pain. As we listened, prayed, read the Scriptures, carried out Bible studies in Farsi and English, cried with them (& taught some English) amazingly the classes grew.

Today, 5 years on, our student body no longer comprises of 6 Muslim ladies but instead 80 students (mostly asylum seekers) from 10 language groups who are served by a team of 12 from 5 nationalities! No wonder my head spins most of the time!

And God has been so faithful to his promise in John 15:5. In addition to God’s love being ‘felt’ through practical means, 7 Iranians have been

saved and baptised, 4 are being

discipled weekly and the entire student body have received Biblical resources in their own language.

We fully testify that this is the work of our Sovereign Lord, who in His mercy has brought the nations to our doorstep, most to hear the Gospel for the first time.

It is our honour to serve them.

So, we present to you our project of “More than an English Class.”
